Apple’s Siri declares iPhone as best phone, Nokia gets pissed
Last week, as you’re probably aware, news vastly spread about how Siri on the iPhone 4S not-so-secretly recommended the Nokia Lumia 900 as the best phone using data from Wolfram Alpha. As of yesterday, it appears Siri has flip flopped worse than presidential candidates at GOP debates and now informs users upon request that the best smartphone is the iPhone.
Well Nokia isn’t very happy that Apple modified Siri to its own advantage. Think about it though. A company modifying its own product to its advantage? I, for one, am astounded!
“Apple positions Siri as the intelligent system that’s there to help, but clearly if they don’t like the answer, they override the software,” said Nokia spokeswoman Tracy Postill. Another spokesman later remarked that Postill’s quote might have been “taken a bit too seriously” by the media.
Siri originally told askers of the question “What’s the best phone?” the Nokia

Siri says the Nokia Lumia 900 is the best smartphone ever
Since Apple released the iPhone 4S in October, its flagship feature Siri has been able to help tremendously in users’ daily lives with productivity and even offering advice. In fact, I bet you didn’t know it can help you with buying or recommending a smartphone. So what’s the best phone out there? According to Siri, the Nokia Lumia 900 is.
Yes, this is one of those twisted stories in tech when something doesn’t go quite as expected and the story ends up being a bit humorous. Apple’s Siri integrates Wolfram Alpha, a “knowledge engine” it uses to respond to questions when it can’t supply an answer on its own. Because Apple can’t control any of the information on Wolfram Alpha, the answers it returns may not always be in Apple’s favor. This is one of those cases.
Siri tends

No solid iPhone rumors = no iPhone at WWDC this year
iLounge recently picked up some “insider information” on the next iPhone. According to the report, Apple’s sixth-generation handset will support all the rumors lately by having a 4-inch display, but it will also apparently have an odd glass back with a metal plate in the middle. Does anyone actually believe this?
I don’t mean to put down iLounge, but let’s look at this from a logical standpoint. Putting a metal plate on the back of an iPhone with glass above and below it doesn’t seem like something Apple would ever do. Could I be wrong? Yes. Am I pretty certain that I’m not wrong? Yes.
Also, thoughts on whether the rumor about a 4-inch display on the next iPhone is credible have been split in half by those who follow the topic: either Apple doesn’t have a choice but to make the display larger or Apple won’t give in to

Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE heading to Sprint?
It looks like Sprint and Motorola are working on the successor of Photon 4G, which as far as we’re hearing will be called Photon Q 4G LTE. Yep it will run on Sprint’s soon-to-be-launched LTE network and aside from the new radio, it will also sport a 720p HD screen and perhaps a quad-core processor. The last thing is just a speculation on my end, though when you think about it with all other major handset makers set to announce a quad-core device (some of them already have such product – HTC One X), Moto should do something about it and prepare its answer…
And that’s about all we had on the Photon Q 4G LTE. Perhaps folks at Now Network decide to change its name since this one is hard to pronounce. There’s something to think about. We’ll see how that goes…
